Katniss hesitated only a moment before climbing in beside him. It wasn't the first time she'd curled up with him since Annie had disappeared, but this was different. It wasn't about comfort. It was about keeping him alive. Sometimes this place felt like the arena, even if everyone here was some sort of ally. Fighting monsters, fighting to survive... it was never ending.
Thinking of the arena, she wished vaguely for the sleeping bag she'd had in her first Games, that had kept her and Rue and Peeta warm. They could have used it now, it would have done better than the blankets for reflecting back their body heat. But they would just have to make do.
She reached for her phone, and then slid in beside him, pressing against his back to share her warmth. "I will," she said, even as she was typing. "Until he gets here, I'm not going anywhere."
