Finnick let her step in closer to him, mostly because he had no choice. Even in that moment, through the cold, he had time to realize that this was the closest anyone had been to him since Annie had left. His stomach pinched painfully. He wanted to back away, but the warmth was too enticing.
(He had another moment to be thankful for the fact that it was her that had shown up instead of Gale or Peeta. He liked both of them, but he and Katniss coped more similarly. Or, at the very least, she knew how to handle his kind of coping.)
He relaxed, for the first in hours, shutting his eyes for a moment. He was tired. He didn't really want to move. He wanted to sleep. But he hummed out an affirmative answer all the same, and tried to move alongside her.
