Josh - Friday afternoon before the dance (NSFW eventually)

His flight had been early. Almost painfully early. It made him wonder just how long ago the decision had been made to transfer him back, or if they'd just been that eager to get rid of him once the decision was made. Not that he was going to complain, the sooner the better as far as he was concerned. It was getting painfully close to two years since he'd last seen Josh as anything other than an image over a video screen, and he was just about vibrating with excitement at the prospect.

Well, excitement and nerves. He'd been on campus almost three hours, had gone through the mandatory meeting with the headmistress followed by a tour of the campus that he almost felt like he could still have given, even after five years away, and then he'd finally been escorted to his room and, after another half hour of explanations of dorm rules and schedules that he'd barely bothered listening to, he'd finally been cut loose. Classes had been out for almost an hour by then, and he'd been out the door of his new room almost on the heels of his R.A., a slightly bulky bag tucked under one arm.

Now, however, he was standing in the hall outside Josh's door fidgeting restlessly with his gloves and trying to convince himself to knock. He should have told him he'd been transferred. What if he didn't actually want to see him, what if he was just fine with the whole long distance, skype thing? Jesus, his hands were damp with sweat in his gloves and he was starting to feel ridiculous, standing out in the hallway. Actually, forget feeling ridiculous, he was ridiculous. Of course Josh was going to be glad he'd been transferred back.

He tugged his gloves straight one last time and resisted the urge to run a hand through his hair, knowing that would just make it worse rather than better, then reached out with the hand not occupied with a bag and rapped - firmly - on Josh's door and waited. No matter how firmly he told himself it was ridiculous to be nervous, though, his hands still felt like they were just about swimming inside his gloves.

"Mm-hmm," he mumbled, fingers trailing in idle swirling patterns across Kevin through the sheet.

He knew he shouldn't risk falling asleep this close to someone else, even with the sheet between them, but Josh was warm and solid against him and he was already tired from his trip without adding in the physical languor of a post-orgasmic haze. He did have the presence of mind to check that the sheet was still well in place, and that his gloves and sleeves over-lapped as far as they could. They still hadn't even zipped up, let alone cleaned up, but they were pressed close enough together that even if Josh's new room-mate walked in on them his tender young eyes shouldn't be scarred for life...and Kevin honestly just didn't care right then even if they were. He couldn't remember ever being this comfortable or content in his life, and he murmured an inarticulate endearment as he smoothed his hand down Josh's flank once more and drifted off to sleep.
