Kevin & Julian
Mark was out for the day and Kevin had come by to see what Evan had sent over. They'd discussed it for a while (and tested the material by making out) before setting it aside for a better time. Spontaneous intimacy was kind of difficult when you had to plan out how to go about touching. The suit had gotten them talking though (as if they ever needed much excuse) and it had lead to nostalgia. Which had ended in Josh showing him the collection Kevin had created and Josh had compiled over the years.

"This one's my favorite," he said, picking up a small gold cast humanoid with outstretched limbs. He rocked his leg, which in turn rocked Kevin's. "I can't believe I actually turned gold." He looked at him from the corner of his eye, beneath gold lashes. "Or that you liked it." He laughed softly.

	Josh went from a controlled stability to a sudden flare of power again, turning to look at Kevin. Julian was offering to see Kevin out but, he knew things were not alright. Biting his lip he nodded, turning back around as the gold began to rise against his skin again. His hands closed around the chair back, gripping tightly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kevin's knees flat out buckled when the power washed over him this time, like liquid sunlight pulsing over his skin. He hit his knees with a grunt, gaze still fixed on Josh as his boyfriend - or was he anymore? - turned his back again.

"Administration," he told Julian, voice cracking on the word as he scrabbled frantically for even a vestige of the iron control he usually wore effortlessly, like a second skin. If the powers training facility had been closer he'd have gone there, where he knew they could lock him down, but he didn't want to risk trying to go that far, and he was thinking just clearly enough to figure that there'd probably be something in the admin building for out of control powers too.

	"Let's go," Julian agreed, sending out a focused, intent telepathic message. Someone would be waiting for them--and someone else would be coming to help Josh, he was sure. He let the shield move, opening the door for them, wanting to put as much distance between the two boys as they could manage. He was not missing the irony of that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[OOC: skipping Josh as he's not going to move or react]

Kevin remained crouched where he was for a long, painful moment, gaze fixed unblinking on the back of Josh's neck until it became obvious he had absolutely no intention of moving or speaking again. He wanted to say something, to ask him if he was all right or apologize again. Anything to get some acknowledgment. Except that would probably just make it worse.

Finally he lurched back to his feet, shoved shaking hands into his pockets, and took a deep, steadying breath before heading for the door. He kept his head bent, avoided looking at Julian and let the other boy's tk shield guide him.

Despite his best efforts one hand slipped from his pocket and reached towards Josh as he drew near. It slid against Julian's shield and he curled it into a fist, sped his pace, and almost ran out the door. There was nothing about this that was all right.

There was only one thing Julian could think to say that may give Josh any comfort at the moment, and though it hurt to say it, to think it, it hurt more knowing Josh was hurt.

God, how he hated being in love. There was nothing that sucked more in the whole wide world.

"I'll make sure he's okay," Julian promised Josh before following Kevin, shutting the door quietly behind him.
