Chase had totally misjudged Kitty. She was clearly one of the awesome geeks who possibly not even geeky. Like him. Depending on if the ninja thing was at all accurate. Because ninjas were not geeks. Except Donatello and Donatello was a techno wizard, so he got a pass anyway.

He was enjoying going back and forth with her. Contrary to what he was teasing her with, he did indeed have pants on. Sweatpants, but pants none the less. He had no shirt on, because he was in his room and kicking back. That and he'd not bothered to put one back on after his shower earlier.

For now he was gleefully trading glib posts with Ms. Katherine Anne Pryde. And completely distracted by it.

Kitty nodded and closed her eye, then held a hand up and did her best imitation of tentacle-fingers coming out of her eye. It was pretty cool, really. And the eyepatch look was really unique. Added a whole level of mystery. Overall, Kitty gave the entire thing a rating of "absolutely badass."

"I guess so. My life... I don't know what to do with it now." She smiled, raising her brows in response to his brow-raise. "Or my gain, if we're being perfectly honest here."

"Awesome." She smiled and turned, rolling off the bed and carefully walking around his stuff so she could pop the window open. "Brb."

She headed back through the wall to scoop up her iPod, thankfully before someone else came along and discovered it. Stepping back up into the air, she leaned into the window and held it out, making sure that he was ready before she tossed it. "Catch."

Oh it was absolutely badass. Chase just was not a tentacle kind of guy. It wasn't his thing. He'd never gotten the whole hentai-tentacle-porn thing.

"Wow, and people think I'm a narcissist," he retorted. "I don't love myself that much." Which was mostly true, even though he was pretty damned awesome.

And then she opened up his window (letting in the fucking arctic air, what the hell, it was MARCH, almost April) and then walked through the wall. "What the-?" Okay, that explained how she got in without using the door or catching his attention. "Yeah, ready."

Chase caught the iPod and immediately ordered it to turn on and bring up what she was looking at last. Which was unexcitingly their last conversation. "Close the window. It's cold as hell out there."

"I get away with it because I also happen to be absolutely adorable." Kitty flashed a smile, before laughing at herself. It was fun to act like she was a much bigger douchebag than she really was.

When she tossed him the iPod, she watched for a moment as he turned it on and started reading. Rolling her eyes at his request, she stepped back through the wall and turned to close the window. "You need to grow a pair, Chase. This is spring. It's beautiful out there."

"Yeah, yeah, you're cute as a button," he agreed with a smirk. It really was fun to act like more of a jerk than he actually was.

Well, since there was nothing interesting, as soon as she was solid again, he offered Kitty back her iPod. "If you're a polar bear," he shot back. "I thought Seattle was cold in the spring. This is all new levels of 'this is spring?'."

She accepted the iPod as she settled back on the edge of his bed, and laughed. "I'm from Chicago, land of the deep freeze and face-ripping arctic wind. This is nothing."

Of course, she'd been in New York more than she'd really been in Chicago, but it still sort of counted. Ish. Plus, she'd grown up with Bobby... which brought up a point. She pointed at him. "You haven't met my Robert yet, have you?"

"I've been to Chicago. In the winter even. This is supposed to be springtime." He'd grown up in LA. He'd gone to high school in Seattle. He was used to mild to warm temperatures. "Clearly nature is telling us it's not time to stop hibernating just yet."

Chase shook his head. "Not ringing any bells," he said. "Since none of the hot girls last night were named Robert, and neither were the few guys. So I'm gonna have to go with no. Should I have?"
