Sirius let go of a breath he hadn't realised he'd been holding. It had taken four days to clear his mind, to dampen down his temper enough to pour cold logic onto his brain. Without James' help, he thought he might still be sitting alone miserably. Though his own gripes had been quelled, and his insecurities and jealousies had been stifled he couldn't help feeling a guilt, and selfishly took as much comfort from Remus' soft words as was offered.
"Love you too," he said quietly, looking at the soft skin of Remus' closed eyelids. Of course they'd find a way through it. He was Sirius Black, there was nothing he couldn't resolve.
Sirius closed his eyes and laid his head against the pillow, his hand curling against Remus' stomach "Did you speak to her, to Dora?" he asked in a whisper.
