A soft whine as Remus' hand reached out and he allowed himself to be stroked. He lifted his nose, sniffing the pleasant parchment scent of Remus' fingers, the layers of ink and an earthy scent of cress beneath.
Once Remus had moved over in the bed he jumped up, feeling the bed sink a bit under his weight. The sheets were soft against his paws, and he did a small circle on the bed before settling down close to the warmth of Remus. He nuzzled his head against his chest, a happy and satisfied almost cat-like noise coming from him.
Being Padfoot was so much simpler; his only thoughts were related to warmth, comfort, and the happiness of the body he curled against. The part of him that was still firmly human-Sirius wished that life were always this simple, though there were things that he just couldn't communicate as a dog, and he changed back.
Sirius gave his nose a rub as he changed back; it tickled from the rapid dulling of his senses. He lifted his head so that he was eye line with Remus, looking at him with emotions too complex to be sorted through in mere words.
