And that was the crux of the problem with answering the 'how are you?' question honestly: it was all about being polite. The question was asked because it was supposed to be, not because the answer actually mattered, so Victoire was not in the habit of answering truthfully. Sometimes she did tell Teddy how she felt, and sometimes she told her sister how she really felt, but usually everyone got the same answer: she was just fine.
"How young is she?" She too had noticed there being more than one Nymphadora Tonks, but she hadn't been able to pick out which was or would become Teddy's mother, and while she admitted that having a pirate for a mother might be interesting, Victoire was very certain that Teddy would appreciate having one much more than she would. No, Victoire was very content with the two she'd grown up with, even if they weren't here like she wanted them to be. She missed them.
