WHO: Teddy Lupin1-can, Victoire Weasley1-can
WHAT: Baking.
WHERE: Victoire's house, South Island.
WHEN: Saturday, March 2nd, at a reasonable time.
RATING/STATUS: tba / incomplete
Teddy was a bit surprised that Victoire was inviting him over. Not super surprised, because it wasn't like they weren't technically friends (also, baking, Victoire knew that Teddy couldn't resist the smells of baking), but Teddy was still a little unsure where he stood with her. When he'd first shown up, it'd taken all of a few seconds for her to seem frustrated with him, over who knew what. Then, he'd assumed it was for the same reasons that they'd broken up recently. But now he knew that she was from the future, three years ahead of him. That was really weird. He'd thought she was the first person he'd come across who he could be sure was on the same wavelength as him, same world and time, but she wasn't. Everyone was behind or ahead of him. Time travel was cool, but also awkward. Teddy had no way of knowing what occurred in the next three years, and that bothered him, a bit. He'd half-lied about not being busy. He was never too busy to visit Victoire, ever, but he was technically supposed to be at work today. He politely left a "can't come into work, victoire's baking" note at his place of employment. He hadn't been exactly putting all that much effort into it, anyway. He wasn't made to dance, firstly; and he was a little miffed that they'd placed him in physical work, art or no, when he was so clearly made for brainwork and intelligence or even something that made better use of his talents. They likely picked jobs out of a hat, Teddy was sure. Shortly after Victoire had given him her address, he hopped onto a boat to the South Island. This was his first time travelling off of the North Island, which he was excited for. He wanted to do more exploring of the whole place, all four islands, but travel had been cut short by the storms. When the boat arrived at the southern island, Teddy hopped back off and went about finding Victoire's house. His warm coat and his lighter jacket were both slung over his arm, and he was about ready to pull off his long-sleeved shirt, too. He knew that the South Island was warmer, but after so long in the cold and snow it was a bit of a shock. Arriving at Victoire's house, he paused before knocking. He dusted off his clothes for no reason, running a hand through his hair. His hair colour flickered between blue and brown before settling on a mix of the two. He wanted to look composed, but also like whatever Victoire was used to in three years. Which was silly and a bit pointless, but so goes the awkward turtle. He rapt his knuckles against Victoire's doorframe softly-- loud enough to hear, but not so loud that he'd sound impatient or be rude. |
