Jack shuddered and shrugged his shoulders a few times, trying to draw a bit of heat back into his muscles. Reluctantly he pulled the hoodie over his head, tossing it onto the chair. The apartment was warmer than the fire escape had been, but losing that layer wasn't making him any warmer at the moment. He kept the pajama pants and t-shirt on, then crawled beneath the covers to join her.
"I'll do my best," he said, throwing the blankets over his body then wriggling towards her. "I'm pretty cold myself at the moment." Jack reached out a hand to run through his wife's hair before sliding it down to rest on her waist. He was tired, yes, but not sleepy. Already he could feel the warmth of the blankets helping him some. Jack rubbed his feet together, kneading them to get some circulation back in his toes before reaching a foot out to find Tessa's warmer legs. That would probably help him some.
