Maybe that was Christmastime for everyone else, but if you were Izzy, it was the day your father had died. At least, that's what had been for the past four years.
She didn't talk about it much - or ever, really. Her brother Jeremy had been the one person she'd even let see her cry over it and even that had been accidental. He'd hugged her and she'd just... broke. Izzy didn't like to cry in front of people. She never had. It made her feel week.
But just because she didn't show her feelings openly didn't mean she didn't have them. The truth was that she used to love this time of year, but ever since that one Christmas, she couldn't stand it.
Her lips moved needfully against Ben's as he started to return the kiss and she tried desperately to just lose herself in it. Maybe if she could just focus of him, them, she could manage to forget why she'd been so upset the past couple of weeks. It was worth a try, anyway.
