Unsteadily, his eyes flicking nervously away from her to focus on the other people in the room, he repeated, "Nothing happened." He spoke to India, then to Alex, firming up his voice as he addressed the only other man in the building. "Nothing." He looked back at Sally, cheeks pinking as he fought the false temper into place to support the conviction of his denial. "Nothing happened. I'm tired now." He looked around. "Where do I sleep?"

Alex blinked as DP came running through from the kitchen and collided with Sally, the conversation; if you could call it a conversation; that followed had his eyebrows rising briefly, before his brow furrowed in thought. He unconsciously studied DP's body language and reactions, tilted his head slightly to one side as he did...coming to the conclusion that Kara had said something that involved Sally and thus made DP...awkward around her? He shook his head, it was none of his business anyway.

He blinked again as DP looked over at him. "Umm...right." He muttered, running a hand through his hair and ducking his head again, not wanting to be dragged into the 'conversation' ... or any conversation for that matter.

The tension in her tone, in her body language echoing the tone, made his own tension rise again, and he stuttered back another step, eyeing her warily...then looked at the door toward the kitchen again. Glancing around, he backed up another step toward the exit and murmured, "Snap needs to go out, first," then turned and headed for the path to go outside instead, Snap at his heels.
