Me omw to throw more nonsense at the community

Working on two babies at the moment, hopefully to app for Wednesday. This here is Charles "Chase" Taylor, a former professional security tech/bodyguard, then an unwilling roadside attraction with Mac, Alex and Kami. Now an herbivore shifter working for Qiángdù Security (hi, bosses).

He'll be meeting Maria again at some point, and maybe finding out he is a dad. At some point. For now he's an AC cranking, chain-smoking stoic sort. Friends, coworkers, casual dating? Therapist b/c hi, trust issues?

I also have Bonnie "Babe" Smith in progress, PB Lena Headey. She was a drummer in a punk rock band that almost made it big. Things went..wildly south, instead. Now she's a fae blood addicted vampire squatting in abandoned buildings and working on an overnight cleaning crew around the city. She's been a vampire for about 30 years, ish, and would love people on a similarly trash level to hang out with sans-judgment. Or people other than Nathaniel to have known her in her human years. (Still coming up with a band name, but never went mainstream so it's probably rare to know of them). Maybe down the road, someone even to get her clean. But you know, all the bad first, b/c pain is so good for characters. >>

Hi guys. Acacia here again with a new face.

Meet Diego Madrigal, medical examiner by day, supernatural doctor by night. He's a non-specialized witch who works with the lovely Sam Lord and who maybe possibly injects himself with potions made out of people.

Originally from Mexico, he's been in Las Vegas for about a year. Prior to that, he lived in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. He has a niece in thedesertwolf, although he's laboring under the mistaken belief that she's actually dead.

Friends? Lovers? Countrymen? Supernaturals he's helped in the past? Fellow witches he works with? He was part of a coven on both sides of the southern border, and I can imagine he'd be looking to find a similar group in LV. He's mostly very pleasant and not bent on world domination at all.

I'm getting in ahead of the curve. So it's Jewels and this is Ingrid. I'm apping her tonight. Anyway, she's a Valkyrie and fae. Ingrid has been in LV for long while now, though she travels a lot because she's a UFC fighter. She's pretty hard to miss, as she towers over pretty much everyone. She enjoys intimidation, crushing people under her feet and dancing. She really wants to open up another gym one day. Anyone who might follow her fighting probably knows that she used to own a gym but it got closed because she ran out of money. (Well she had a gambling problem but still).

She thinks you're all so cute, and can't wait to pinch every single one of you. Because she will. She's a pincher. And a smoosher of faces.

Of course she needs all the things, so if anyone wants anything - she's open. Also she's been married before, so if anyone needs a fun ex-wife, I've got one.

Hello all!

I figured I'd post here and see if I couldn't drum up some interaction before adds. If I'm successful I'll have two characters to bring you!

First is this guy adunbar, Aaron Dunbar, 40. He's a divorced Born Wolf Shifter that's on the outs with his family, except his sister. He's a teacher, pretty good guy and is legally deaf. His right ear is completely devoid of hearing while his left is at about 20 percent with a 15 percent boost when his hearing aid is in (which, you know, isn't available when he's shifted). I won't get too deep in to it, as his profile is public currently and can be perused at your leisure. He has been back in Las Vegas for the past year (Previously living in California) so I'm hoping to create some contacts with him!

Second is arteague, Artemis Teague, 32. She is a Sylph Fae (air fairy/being), Cafe Owner (Yellow Canary Cafe) and the 41st daughter in a long line of Teague sisters. She's a bit spacey but means well. A workaholic who just adores humans and wants to match make everybody with...well everybody. Her magic includes that of air type manipulations and some small parlor trick type magic. She's lived in Las Vegas her whole life but has done a little bit of traveling. Hoping for some friends for her!

Hannah here with Marceline Said, legal assistant to Evan Byrne. They both just love to appear charitable and compassionate, for slightly different reasons. Oh, and her dad is Randall Forten's personal accountant (aka money launderer).

She presents as a smart, kind-hearted young woman who volunteers regularly and fights for social justice. She loves her dad and strives to keep his approval, as he buys into her playing at being more benevolent than she really is. She collects friends who find her impressive and are impressionable and weak willed. Oh, and she paints watercolors in her downtime, but doesn't have the creative vision to stand out among her peers in the art field.

She rarely dates casually, and has a minimum salary requirement for those she does get involved with. If you have a clean public persona and can be discreet, you have a shot. She has been in Vegas for roughly 25 years, so there's time for backstory / past run-ins.

I've spoken with Acacia about it, and we would love to do a "Assistant's Club" for the other harried PC assistants in game. Group chats, the occasional whine and wine, etc.

You know him, you (hopefully) love him, please say hello to Ghost Dad! In keeping with game rules, he's not actually Papa Ghede, but he functions as a similar being. Charles Marchand is one of the loa Ghede, the spirits of fertility, death, and sexuality, among other things. He's currently billing himself as the only legit psychic in Vegas, as well as occasionally channeling spirits for people to contact their loved ones.

Give me everything, babes, I'm stoked he's here. :D

Hello, friends. This is Acacia, with characters number... eh, let's not talk about that.

First, I have for you a homunculus by the name of Shirin Jahani. Fashion designer fresh off the plane from Manhattan, originally from Iran... about, oh, 400-some years ago. For a look at her bio, I recommend packing provisions because it's a long-ass ride. Short version? Handmaid had a few kids to help out her mistress, was condemned for it, and wound up being remade by said mistress (with some help). She went on a bit of a killing spree when all was said and done, then spent four centuries traveling the world. She's been in the US since 1917, getting involved in all kinds of illegality. Her latest trick is making very complicated clothes for very wealthy people and helping Randall Forten expand his empire. She's just arrived in Las Vegas.

Second: Damon Reed, noctivagus, a siren who just got released from prison for good behaviour, even though he helped engineer a riot or three to procure himself a quiet meal now and then. He had a similarly murderous start in life (his mother was bound by a witch, he and his siblings were born alone, slaughtered each other, then slaughtered mom and witch) and it was a few decades before his father civilized him enough that he could be trusted around people. He's unemployed (anyone need muscle?) but he has a pretty sweet car and he'll be staying at the trailer park. This is his second time in Las Vegas. The last time he was here was 2001. And he got arrested. His bio is here. Don't let the mild cannibalism put you off. He's a sweetheart. Really.

Hey all, I'm Leah, I haven't participated in a group RP in a while but this place looks pretty sweet. (Thank you, Shadey, for tempting me)

I'm working on my first character; a fae from one very specific lake in Wales. She loves her rule of three, and merrily enhances the natural intellect, charisma, and so forth of others...if worthy. She doesn't deal in material goods, so don't look at her for anything of that nature - Polly strictly enhances in someone only what already exists. On the other side of that coin, Polly can and will withdraw her boon should her target no longer appear grateful/worthy/etc. (Sorry all, that's the mercurial nature of the fae for you.)

With a long history under her belt, one might see Polly as naive or foolish to still believe in and aid others. It would be more accurate to say she's a hopeful one, willing to take a chance. If it pans out, great! If not...well. As stated above, the fae giveth and the fae taketh away.

These days Polly works as a librarian. It lets her locate people in whom to flourish curiosity, imagination and intelligence, and is a low-key facade that doesn't draw unwanted attention. Polly likes to keep her life as simple as possible. It pleases her to help others prosper, and their gratitude pleases her just as much. She might be a teensy bit susceptible to bribery, but don't say that to her face. (Again, that fae nature - loving those tithes)

Shadey and I have already spoken a bit about Polly and Sophia building a friendship, but I'd love to discuss other potential ties. I haven't hammered out backstory beyond the late 1800s yet. Up to that point, she'd wandered Great Britain, and could have crossed paths with other characters in Ireland, England, Scotland or Wales. I'd like her to have hit US soil before targeting Vegas, but we'll see how the cookie crumbles.

I'm also open to discussing motivations to bring her to Vegas - job opportunities, social ties, a promising student to get all Godmothery with, etc.

I have a character addiction problem, so here's W already with another brainchild. I love this chick's face and have been meaning to write someone to fit.

This here is Nautia. She's an Old World siren who hails back to the days of ancient Greece and Rome. She goes by just that. One of those single name people, like she's Madonna or Sting or something. Can you tell she has a bit of a big head already? She's quite vain like that. Over the centuries, she may or may not have inspired some artists and been featured in some prominent works. Not that anyone knows it's her. (I was inspired by this and that's exactly how she would laugh it off, in case someone were to notice enough to remark on it.)

In the modern age, she mostly works as a social media influencer (because she likes the attention) with aspirations of breaking into the "legit" modeling industry. Truth is, she's a bit too flighty for the cutthroat business side of that kind of hustle, though. She also moonlights as a lounge singer. I'm thinking maybe at The Velvet Room, if they'll take her? She's in it not for the money, though that extra cash flow is always appreciated, but because she finds it fun. For her voice, it's probably on the smokier side - think of a mix between Lana Del Rey and Lorde, if you will.

I would love to get some friends for her! Especially other water-based creatures and older immortals. Also, work contacts would be nice, whether it's people she knows from the club or those she collaborates with on her social media presence.

Hi all! Newbie here thinking of making my way into the game after a few years away from RP.

I'm working on bringing in a kitsune. Face of Karen Fukuhara, most likely. (Now to find me some decent icons that aren't Suicide Squad.) I'm thinking she'll be 201-years-old (poor girl should at least be old enough to drink), very bright in her way though somewhat socially stunted given a little mishap that occurred while she was young and inexperienced with her powers, resulting in being stuck in fox form for a bit, so maybe mentally like 16/17.

Other than that plot point, the only things I have set in mind for her so far is that she attends UNLV (likely as a very held back freshman, whoops) and she has a mother who is very old (in years, if not appearance) who is mentally deteriorating and possibly in hospice with like the supernatural version of Alzheimer's essentially. Father is maybe deceased at this point.

As I build her up, I welcome any and all lines to help me flesh things out. Hit me with 'em! For one thing, homegirl needs a job. And some friends that are more outgoing than her, preferably fun sarcastic types that occasionally get her into questionable situations and let her self-soothe by humoring her obsession with making tea. Any takers?

I'm not familiar with Discord at all. So for the time being, I'll take any and all ooc comments here while I set my journal up, after which there will be a spiffy screened dropbox.

Greetings Friends and Fellows!

I am looking to return very soon and I wanted to reach out and see what Storyline options there will be.

I have Jane (Cial) here, who I will definitely bring back to start with. For those who might be new, she is Tuatha royalty, the daughter of Niamh and Oisin. She originally left Tir Na nOg because of a broken heart and a spirit for adventure with her, Fairy "Nanny", Deacon. In game, she had been the council member for the Fae but had to return to the Otherworld for a family emergency and that spot was taken by Kjeld - a Fomorian and the Tuatha's sworn enemies..

I'd like to play that she was, in her perception, gone for a very long time because of the time discrepancy between the two worlds and I hope that is doable. In my head, Jane has always been a warrior and I would like her to have seen some battles back in the Otherworld.

From what I've been told, I expect she is coming back to a very different Las Vegas, from the one she left and I think that will be a lot of fun and can't wait!

Hello everyone! Leah here. With an all-male cast, I decided that I needed to shake things up a bit, so without further ado, let me introduce you to my new lady!

This is Verity Pruitt. Small town girl living in the big, bad city with her bff Naomi. She's the owner of a small yet increasingly popular event planning agency called RelEvent Planning, which organises events both big and small all over the city. Even when she isn't working, Verity is a person who is often juggling four things at once and making it look effortless. She's that girl who we were all intimidated by, jealous of, and a little bit hot for in high school. She's driven, hardworking, and a tad unapproachable in that intense 'I'm going to take over the world some day' way. But she's nice, promise! She just thrives on being busy and loves to be organised.

Things I'd like for her include: clients who have used her business for events in the past, potential clients for future use, friends who aren't put off by her busy schedule, an ex or two who couldn't deal with sharing her with her career, people who can't stand her for whatever reason. Also, in the future, caring vampires who'd be willing to take a fresh, unwilling fledgling under their wing. >.>

It’s Rae and I’m bringing in another character. That doesn’t mean that my other two aren’t around for additional things but I wanted a fresh face on my lineup so I’m bringing you this lovely lovely. His name is Ian Marsh, he’s played by Liam Payne, and you can find his bio here .

Here’s a bit of backstory for those of you that don’t feel like reading the entire thing (there are pretty pictures in his profile though so I encourage you to go look ;) ) :

Ian is the oldest child of a family that is native to California. His family life was happy and good until the death of his father who acted as the Fire Chief in their town. Richard Marsh perished in a large house fire saving a young boy. He was essentially Ian’s hero and Ian took that death very hard. Ever since then his life has sort of been uneventful - he barely talks to his brother or sister, rarely goes to visit his mother, and he struggles to find his way in life. He dropped out of college and then moved to Vegas to try to start over fresh. So while he’s not native to the area he’s been around for a little while.

Right now he’s in the car business, selling cars at a local, well-known dealership. He has an apartment (that could be a line there if anyone is looking for a roommate (this line is reserved for Leah) or perhaps to live in th same building) near work and once in a while he will bicycle. His health and appearance are large factors in his life; Ian’s present passion is boxing. When his schedule permits you can find him training at a gym after work (another potential line there if anyone is interested) in effort to keep himself fit. He’s been involved in a few amateur boxing matches in California (I’d reckon they’d be on YouTube or social media) but none so far in the area. He’s a social butterfly, friendly but a bit pretentious if the moment strikes him, but he’s loyal to his friends.

Ian is human, he has no idea that anything out of the ordinary walks amongst us (cue the lines here with Supernaturals) so having to find that out would be interesting. Overall he likes being outside, going places with friends, keeping himself in shape. There’s a lot of potential here with any available characters that might fit into these parameters or throwing him into situations with characters he might not usually mesh with would be good too.

Hello everyone!

So I'm thinking about making a new character, but before I commit to anything I wanted to see if there was anyone looking to have a role fulfilled for either a current or work-in-progress character. Right now I just have a bare bones idea of the character I'd like to make. Mostly personality and some backstory. I'm open to species as long as the character can be at least or around 180 years old (involvement in the American Civil War would be part of his history.) Kind of leaning towards something I don't already have (Other or a Witch-type that has figured out how to extend their life would be interesting.) But I'm open to suggestions. Basically what I'm looking for is someone willing to commit to a relationship story line (totally open to type of relationship - lovers, family, best friends, unrequited whatever) that either has a lot of violent, angsty backstory or could be something we could develop in a present day plot. At this point, my idea of the character is leaning towards broody with a dark history. Probably not the type to be very social media active. But who knows!

I'd like to hear all the thoughts and ideas! Maybe they will spark something in my brain. And for those of you who are PB oriented, I'm kind of leaning towards Christian Bale (scruffy Bale not clean cut Bale.)

Hello new strangers who might one day be gamemates. (But not gamates.)

I'm in the still early stages of making this vampire lady, Katka. She used to be a cop but then got turned on the job. She's now joined a nest in Vegas and (probably unless I think of something I'd rather) works as undercover security in one of the casinos as well as doing a bit of drug running for the leader of her nest. (He's an NPC basically because I don't want to have to actually run a nest, but if someone wants him I have zero plans for him beyond 'he met Katka and thought she was a cute spitfire')

Um, so who's got vampires? And who's got people working in casinos? And... Idk... who wants to play with a vampire whose main goal is to one day find her sire and kill him or her? (Idk who her sire is. It could be you, if you want!)

Hey guys. So I'm in the process of making a human (Carly Chaikin) that is going to be turning into a werewolf via Mara. My plan is that she's going to be married. Maybe with a kid (but that's entirely up in the air) So the werewolf thing is going to complicate things. I'm looking for a husband and I figured I'd do it before hand in case someone wanted to pick him up and plot together instead of me writing a whole thing and forcing someone to go with whatever I come up with.

My main ideas are: she gets turned, comes home and turns him. he's actually some kind of other supernatural that has his own secret and hasn't told her what he is or he gets turned into a vampire nearly the same time because lol. or he remains human completely but has to deal with the fact that his wife is a werewolf. I'm up for other suggestions too, if anyone has them.

I'd like to introduce you to Jude Ashcroft, a generalised warlock with a speciality of healing magic. He's originally from New York but moved to Vegas about 3-4 years ago, so lots of time to have gotten to know people. He's an EMT, so I figure he'd know some of the other public service characters if nothing else. He'll need all of the usual stuff - established friendships and relationships with people, perhaps an ex? He leans towards guys, sorry ladies. He's a tender soul who's just doing his best so pls be nice to him. He might look like a giant but he's sensitive~

Anyway, she's a human, a telepath, living on the street and waiting for her brother to come and find her. She's been waiting for five months. He's not coming. Morgan is paranoid but kind of desperate and fairly certain she's going insane. She has no control over her ability to read minds but I do. So any threads, we'll talk about what she can and can't pick up or how to signify random thoughts she can get.

Anyway, she needs everything including maybe a nice patron to get her off the street and into a job. Okay bye~
