Cathair heaved out a long breath and placed a hand on Becky's back, rubbing a bit. He could only imagine what the young man was thinking and likely accusing him of (and considering what they'd been doing the minute before he 'd called, probably wasn't that far off the truth). He let Becky handle her overprotective brother though.
Sadhbh was completely blind to everyone's discomfit. She brightened at the news Becky was talking to Colin. She leaned over and called out "Hello Colin!" cheerfully. "Is Amy being a good babby?"
Cathair palmed his face with one hand, then gently shifted Becky off his lap on to the settee. He rapidly was losing his problematic reaction to a pretty girl sitting on his lap snogging him from the sheer ridiculousness and humiliation at the situation. "Bed," he told his daughter sternly as he held out his hand for hers.
Sadhbh looked crestfallen. "I wanna say goodnight to Becky," she protested. "And I can't 'cause she's on the telephone." Cathair heaved out a long breath. "I'll tell her when she's done," he countered. "Now bed." He sent Becky an apologetic look as Sadhbh reluctantly obeyed her father. He followed her into her room to tuck her back in and give Becky some privacy.
