Cathair chuckled and shook his head. "Well, he's partially right," he told her. "I will definitely do everything in my power to keep you and yours safe. And most likely, I'll have my moments of stupidity where I will hurt, even though I don't intend to."
He let out a long breath. "I was thinking about starting up again," he admitted softly. "With whoever attacked the meeting last week. I found them, but I think I'll just drop the investigators the helpful information. I can't wholly turn my back on it all, but I'm done actively looking for trouble. If any of that makes any sense." Maybe he'd change his mind again, but for now, he was still picking up the pieces of his life. Trying to regulate the supernatural here as he'd done back in Ireland would only derail that.
