She released a low growl of frustration at not being able to tell him just what she needed right then. Instead she pushed herself onto her arms only to slide down his body a little. Leaning down, she laid her head on his chest, her ear pressed right where his heart was. It's beat was a little fast but strong and steady, and Jadyn's body sank against his. Nothing made her feel more safe and secure than when she lay listening to his heartbeat, like there was nothing to worry about as long as he was there and she needed to be reminded of that.
"I just needed to remember." She spoke softly, her voice muffled by his clothes as she stared at nothing in general, a sense of contentment washing over her.
