Thread: Puck goes to tell Kurt about Sam's Kidnapping
Who: Puck, Kurt, Finn, Olivia (NPC)
When: Monday, February 27
Where: The Hudmel House
What: After being released from "The Facility", Puck goes by the Hudmel house to ask if he can crash for a few nights and to tell Kurt that Sam's okay.
Puck thought it was kind of hilarious that he was driven from the facility with a black hood over his head, but he figured Dr. Monroe and his friends had a lot of secrets to protect and didn't really blame them for making sure he couldn't find his way back. Even if they did trust him well enough to let him go.
He thought about going back to his nana's apartment, but he knew Sarah had been released from the hospital and that she would be there, and he wasn't quite ready to face her yet. Not until he proved himself and got Dr. Monroe's time-traveling friend to bring back their ma.
So, he made good on another promise and drove to Kurt's house. He hoped the dude was okay, because last he'd heard, Finn was dead and he probably didn't know where Sam was, either. Puck would fix that, toot sweet. He jogged up to the door (glad to be breathing the fresh, outside air), and rang the doorbell.
Kurt was enjoying some much needed alone time, while Burt was at work and Carole was fussing over Finn. She’d been fussing over Finn for the entire weekend, not that Kurt could blame her. Kurt was doing his own fair share of fussing, in between worrying over Sam and plotting with Mike on a rescue party.
Also, he’d come to the decision that long hair was more work than it was worth. For a few days after being in Brittany’s body, he’d done his best to keep her well groomed and flawless. Going into the second week, however, spending hours a day on her hair was getting tiring even as a distraction. Also, he missed his own clothes and had spent the previous night altering one of his favorite outfits to fit a female body. It worked as a distraction and he’d come to the conclusion that Brittany S Pierce could wear anything, up to and including men’s clothes.
He was deciding what to make for dinner when the bell rang, and hoping it was Sam he rushed to answer it. It wasn’t Sam, but it was the next best thing and he grinned when he saw Puck. Flinging his arms around him, in a very uncharacteristically affectionate manner, he started in with his questions immediately. “Puckerman you’re so lucky I’m happy to see you or I’d punch you for scaring us like that. Where were you? Have you seen Sam? Are you in one piece? If you disappear again I will find you and make you regret it.”
Surprised to see Brittany answering the door at Kurt's house, Puck hugged her back with a grin. When she pulled back, he looked her up and down, and said a mental, "Daa-aam!" She was looking super-fine in her tight-ass jeans and that shirt and vest, even if there wasn't any cleavage showing, because they were tight enough to show off her curves in just the right ways. Licking his lips because his mouth was watering, Puck didn't notice how Brittany didn't quite sound like Brittany and only caught about half of what she was saying. "Yeah, Sam's fine," Puck replied, waving off the question. "More importantly, Britt, tell me you're single again, because hot damn! You want a ride on the Puckasaurus for old times' sake?"
Kurt pulled back and followed through on his threat to punch Puck. Brittany was stronger than she appeared, so the punch carried more oomph than Kurt intended. “Don’t be disgusting Puckerman. Now is not the time for your neanderthal roots to start showing. We’re in serious trouble here. Finn’s back from the dead, Mercedes and Matt are dead, you’re back from wherever the Hell they took you, Sam’s still gone, and so are half a dozen other students at our school.” Kurt took a step back and gestured for Puck to come inside.
“And I’m not Brittany, I’m Kurt. The storm wrecked havoc with more than just our powers it appears. It’s also messed physics and time lines and a whole host of matters that I don’t really understand.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “Now, tell me about my boyfriend. He just disappeared the same way you did, and his parents didn’t think anything was wrong with that. Mike and I are organizing a rescue mission, but we need more information. Since you’re back, you’re going to help us.” He didn’t intend to make it sound like an order, but didn’t mind if that’s the way it came out.
Okay, so Brittany was hot, right? But this new Britt who punched him and put him down and ordered him around made Puck a little weak in the knees. He grabbed the door frame and leaned against it, making it look casual instead of a necessity to keep from falling on his ass and replied, "Kurt? Seriously? That is fucked up, dude!"
Shaking his head a little like that would help him think, Puck continued, "Um … yeah. Yeah, Sam is good. They took us to this underground place, somewhere close I think, it didn't take long to get back. Taught me how to use my power without blowing shit up anymore. Well, without accidentally blowing shit up." He smiled at Kurt, "They're doing the same for Sam. So he doesn't wipe people's memories anymore. He's fine. He sent me here to tell you that. They'll probably let him go in a few days."
Kurt studied Puck for a long moment before deciding he was telling the truth about Sam. Or at least, Puck thought he was telling the truth. There was no telling what they’d done to him, wherever he’d been, or if his mind was still his own. Kurt knew all about government facilities brainwashing people, it was in all of Sam’s comic books, and he didn’t trust the people behind this one bit. Whoever they were.
But for now, he had to assume that Puck was right and that Sam was safe, otherwise he’d drive himself insane. That didn’t mean he and Mike would stop their investigation, it just meant they could be more careful about it. “Did it work? What they taught you about your powers? How to control them?” That could come in handy, if Puck could remember any of the techniques. They all use more structure in handling their abilities, especially now that some of them were in different bodies and had different powers.
That reminded him. “Did they say anything about this?” He gestured at Brittany’s body. “If they're going to be able to fix it, or are we stuck like this?” The very idea was devastating. Kurt didn’t want to be a girl forever.
"Yeah, it works," Puck replied, showing off by singeing a little "N.P." into the door frame under his hand, leaning back to reveal his work. "Apparently I'm really powerful, too. It's awesome. Did you know that I blew up the quarry? Dr. Monroe says it was dry for like a month after I exploded it."
Looking Kurt up and down, Puck nodded, "They say they're working on it. I guess some kid did it on accident? They're teaching him, too, so he can put you all back around the right way. I guess it all depends on him. Monroe also promised that they would get my ma back from the dead, and that hasn't happened yet, so there you go." Tilting his head, Puck asked, "Is it weird having boobs? I think if that happened to me, I'd be playing with them, like non-stop."
