Narative: Blaine's grief
Who: Blaine in Faith's body
When: Friday Feb 19, evening
Where: Hiding in an empty class room.
What: Blaine Deals with a new body and the death of his family.
Warnings: flashbacks of violence, death, grief, guilt, suicide idealization
The screaming had stopped. All the screaming of his family, of the school. It had all stopped. There was silence, it was blissfully floating around the halls. How happy his mother would have been to be given such silence in the house. Maybe then she could have been happy with her life. His mother was a beauty queen. One shining perfect image in a tiny backwater town. What was that song. Blaine's voice was high but he didn't seem to notice.
"Death valley queen where have you been
Since they crowned you in glory
Filled your head with dreams
But it still goes to show in every desert
There's a rose that's blooming for all to be seen"
Blaine's face was now that of a fae-looking girl with a body so slight it could be that of a dancer. A dancer... why not? Didn't some cultures have dances for this? Whatever this was. He spun, arms thrown wide.
"I remember you well from that town
You did dwell with the face of an angel
In a dump hot as hell"
His mother never liked parties. She threw so very many of them; soirees, diners, and balls. She enjoyed not a one. She would stare into the distance, far far away from him as he tried to draw her eyes. Was she back home? Did he mind take her back to this horrible place?
"Off I did set on my trail of regret
Where I thought of you now in your castle and crown "
Did she have a lover? Some home town boy that she adored? Some smiling lilting Scott with a camera watching her through that lens praying she would see him? Was it some rebel bad-boy, the one she should never want but couldn't help being drawn to. None of them were his father.
"So death valley queen go marry your king
Or an old maid you'll end up for certain "
So... His father was some slick haired fast talking rich man who would give her all earthly goods. But not a single joy or smile.
"Then the ball dropped why everything fell by the way
As your teardrops were falling I forgot to say
That I have always loved you
Yeah I have always loved... momma..."
Blaine's spinning stopped, the arms spread out to his sided pulled in to wrap around his shoulders. His chest shook, violent sobs overtaking his entire body. His mom was gone. She lived her whole life unhappy and he had pushed her over the edge. She was gone and he never knew her, never knew a thing but vacant eyes and pills in hand.
Blaine's new body shook until he could no longer move. Finally he came around, numbly examining the new limbs. He was so... slight. A girl... He smoothed the pale hands down her curves, considering. A girl.. he didn't feel like one but... well he wasn't Blaine like this was he? He didn't have a dead family, or a string of failed romances. He had no idea who this person was but all that mattered was he wasn't himself. He finally was granted one of his greatest wishes. Maybe all it took was a little sacrifice of blood. A mostly dead smile pulled 'Faith's' mouth. Time to go make a different life for himself.
