Julius + Maeve Sunrise
The smirk earned by that sentiment was a languid, lopsided thing followed by an undisguised, slow flick of his eyes from her legs draped over his lap up to hers, locking on them with a raised eyebrow. "Anything and nothing."
There was a hint of surprise in her eyes that threw him for a loop more than the suggestion itself, but he supposed there hadn't ever been a lengthy discussion on such things. And it wouldn't necessarily have to be Sebastian either. There'd definitely been a few women who'd managed to throw him around a bit--not even bigger than him, just fierce--but that was a discussion for another time apparently, because the smirk was back again, and he laughed lightly with a slight nod. "You certainly have managed that quite well so far." As really no one else had. Her next comment threw him off as well, not expecting it exactly, but that didn't make the--was it a compliment?--unwelcome. "Well, you know how the Fae are. We're very good with cats." It was a bit of levity wrapped up in what he hoped was an assurance that he didn't mind a few metaphorical scratches if the reward was spending time with her.
She was all about catching him off guard tonight apparently. Both eyebrows shot up in surprise now. "Better than... Prince?" That was some high praise indeed. But then again. "So are you."
