Jayati nodded, noting it down for future reference, though she was trying to decide how to introduce the other woman when she needed to. Being given permission to call someone by a shortened version of their name was different than giving it out. "Practical." She nodded, approval in her expression.
The color changing hair drew her eyes, and Jayati had never been very good at hiding her fascination when something caught her eye. Someone once told her that she was very expressive - for a lizard - which made her bad for meetings with politicians or negotiations. When you said something that she thought was innane or just foolhardy. It appears this woman was just as expressive, just in different ways. "Don't worry about it. I just want us to be comfortable working together." Jayati shrugged and glanced out the window with a hint of wistfulness, "I was raised formally as well, but I traveled after my home was lost. It had some benefits." Like learning how to adapt to behavior she wasn't used to quickly, and not take offense easily. "Maybe you would be more comfortable sparring sometime? My garage is set aside for such things. That, and weapons storage."
The observation had her snorting, "True. Have you found somewhere to stay, Dae? I think the Inn has some open rooms, if you can deal with that many people in the same building as you."
