Imagine, avoiding the potential devastation of the trash, pollution, and ships that so many of the other undersea cities had suffered, just to get hit by magical abominations instead. If anyone could bounce back though, it was going to be a city located in the most high-pressure place on earth. Literally. "If you need any of our resources to help - well, I don't know how useful it would be, but let me know."
Well, that was just about enough of that level of formality, especially from a fellow warrior - though she suspected Dae had a more honorable record than herself - "Just Jayati, please. Or Jay, and do you prefer Daenna?" Names had power and more meaning for some Races more than others, moreso to the ones who were born with Magic in their veins, those whose magic obeyed the old laws and were especially wary of curses and the like.
Besides, if they were going to be working together then they should talk to one another in the way that was most comfortable. Daenna seemed to be the straight forward type, grounded, practical, much like Jayati, and she respected that. Had enough people that made her want to look over her shoulder in town, including family and former friends.
