There was a genuine gasp from Parthenope, hand to her heart at the story. She was familiar with all sorts of terrible things happening to underwater kingdoms and communities, but usually they were due to infighting or human made disasters--earthquakes caused by oil drilling swallowing up whole cities, wars between two different tribes who'd given up on negotiating peacefully or, as had been the case for her own home, pollution bringing devastating illness--not due to something... Magical.
"That's terrible," she murmured after a moment, a sheen of actual tears she blinked back at the story. "A movement?" Dae, she knew from having met her before when she'd still been Peisinoê's betrothed, but also just the general vibe given off of her--Sight or no--was very good. Were she anyone else, Parthenope might have hesitated, but she gave a decisive nod. "Yes, there is something happening here. A resistance."
