Strangely, the cold only bothered her when it was in the air. Cold water was nothing. Soothing. Welcomed even. But a chill in the air, and on unnatural human legs to boot, was highly unpleasant. Parthenope was sure there was a science behind it, and could have easily asked Peisinoê for an explanation, but she was content to wrap herself up in multiple layers instead. It was cozier, a concept that certainly did not exist underwater, but it was something that had grown on her quickly. Who didn't like to be warm, wrapped in blankets and oversized sweaters? And leggings! Oh, leggings. It was the only thing that made walking on two legs bearable.
The distant figure soon morphed in a shape that Parthenope found that she actually recognized, which only made her wave frantically. Just because Peisinoê and Dae had ended their engagement didn't mean that she had to be rude--frankly, she didn't have a rude bone in her body--it was just exciting to see a familiar face, and since Dae was new here (obviously she was, since it was the first time Parthenope had seen her here) she could probably use a friend? Right? Or at least someone to be cordial with. "Dae!" Parthenope exclaimed with the most genuine joy and excitement. If she noticed the hit of disappointment (she did, she definitely did) she didn't let on. "How lovely to see you, how long have you been in Summerview." She patted a patch of sand next to her, digging her feet into the sand in front of her, wiggling her toes until they just barely stuck out from under it. "Have a seat, please, this is such a nice surprise."
