“Summerview?” Koa asked, “or being a werewolf?” He paused, looking at Matt for a moment before he made the decision himself. “Aah, werewolf. Shit, man that’s rough. You doing okay?”
It was an honest enough question. Koa might never have known any different, might never have known anything different so had no idea how to coax someone through adjusting to being different but he would do his best if the occasion called for it. Apparently, the occasion called for it.
Distracted only momentarily by a waft of the scent of pizza pouring out from Vinnie’s that made his stomach rumble a little in protest at not being immediately filled with pizza right at that second, Koa returned his attention to the guy in front of him.
