Oh sinners come down, come gather 'round
2/2/19 Morning
Elliot ✦ Danny
Introductions? Tour? PG-13 at least Complete |
Six AM was early no matter where you are, and Elliot had never lied about being a morning person. Especially when she had lived a life that thrived at night, even before she ran away from home. But she was also the sort to do what she had to without too much bitching, because complaining didn't put food in your belly and she knew things could be far worse. After all, she wasn't in a place where someone would show her what worse was. Or try to, at least. No, she had a real job now. Well, as real as it could be when it was at an Inn ran by a goddamned Satyr right out of the myths, and were they really like the myths? Speaking of which? Because she had google searched and clicking on images lead her down an interesting rabbit hole. Whatever. Sidney hadn't cared that she hadn't given a last name, an SSN or a bank account. A weird dude, to be sure, but a weird that worked for her. It was early enough that none of the guests were up, but people were in the kitchens so she had been able to acquire a tall mug of coffee before creeping out the back door like a dirty one night stand to have the rest of her breakfast. A vanilla black and mild, lit with a zippo that had seen better days dug out of her shirt, a thick men's flannel that she had for years, worn soft even though it was sturdy enough to keep out the cold. It was big enough to be Ethan's even though it wasn't, especially since it bore the hallmarks of old oil stains here and there, her own scent soaked deep into the fabric no matter how much she washed it. Her long hair was down and a bit of a mess but Elliot had never really given a flying fuck, especially since was still waking up after only having slept a few hours. Admittedly, going as long as she had without sleeping in a building filled with other people was going to be a harder adjustment than she realized, even with Ethan just down the hall, close enough that she could hear his heartbeat when she focused. |
