Danny had forgotten himself for a moment, too entranced by his desire to possess those shiny buttons, and he stared at her in a mixture of confusion and irritation. Then he checked himself. Even in Summerview, some supernatural instincts and behaviors had to be kept in check to be considered socially acceptable. Frustrated, thwarted by social norms, Danny's expression turned into a pout and he leaned heavily back against the wall and sucked on his ciggy to console himself.
He hadn't expected her to turn it around, though. Danny nearly choked on his smoke. "Yes," he said, probably too eagerly. Then he reined it back. "I mean, yeah, sure. You've got a deal. No more personal questions." The dragon shrugged as casually as he could manage, but he couldn't wait to get his hands on those buttons.
