One of her hands ran through her hair again, snagging on tangles from a long day, taking a deep breath and trying to calm herself. It didn't work though, and Jayati let out an actual low inhuman growl, the smell of sulfur in the air for a moment before it was gone. The image of humans marching onto Summerview with their silver bullets, fire and iron weapons got under her skin far easier than she liked. "And what will she do to cities, to families who refuse to help? Do you know what kind of new empire you are helping to build?" Was he so eager for this Revolution that he wasn't asking enough questions, "What means justify your ends?"
It was hard to think of what was worse, her sister who only seemed to have inherited their parent's most insidious traits, or humans turning their eyes to the Cities. The same group who had marched into her village to kill her parents even though they had protected that region for a thousand years.
Fuck. Talk about a rock and a venomous hard place. "Are you going to ask the children you used to babysit to go to war for you? Or did you ever really give a shit about them?"
Jayati's head tilted at that, trying to picture him in a brawl or wielding a weapon against someone. Did he have a vicious side? "Fuck. You are the dumbest smart person I know," She pressed her knuckles into her eyes, "I'm a Dragon it takes very little skill for me to be deadly in my true shape, and I've kept up my training, have you?"
A barefoot snapped out, hooking easily into the back of his right knee and yanking in a clean sweep to make him lose his balance, get out a bit of frustration and make her point. Well. Maybe not so much the last part, but it did feel good. Not that she wanted him to bust his head on her table, would he even bleed? Her arm moved as fast as her leg had, catching his collar when he got to close to the table and pulling him back up easily even with the weight he had on her. "Simply awe inspiring." She commented dryly.
