It wasn't late, all things considering, but due to her being awake for roughly two days and doing far more flying in that time than she had in a while, she was a bit more tired than usual. So she wasn't planning on going anywhere, gonna take the day off in fact. Hence the reason she was leisurely milling about her house in shorts and a tank top, half-heartedly cleaning and organizing notes on what she had found when she followed Marie's lead to Seychelles.
Information gathering really wasn't her thing, sleuthing, smooth talking, playing nice and greasing palms. None of that. It all tested her patience and seemed to take far too much time when burning the building and threatening to eat everyone would be so much faster.
But she had gone. Asked the necessary questions until she had run out of patience, let her eyes glow and claws extend, the smell of ash and sulfur filling the air. For some reason that had worked in way's her first name had not, but not how she had expected. The one in charge did not shake and tremble in fear the little Lamia just grinned at her like she had won something, and handed her a stack of paperwork that seemed far too prepared for Jayati's liking.
It had a foul stench to it, the papers holding just enough information to make it feel like a taste of victory but not enough for her to follow it back to anything. And she had spent the better part of her day after arriving home going through them. Hoping to find a chink in her little sister's plan, something solid that she could use to figure out her plan or how to make her operation less stable, and nothing.
Being focused and tired didn't stop her back from straightening as soon as she felt someone familiar on the perimeter of her Wards, however. Familiar, but unexpected. Trusted enough that she let him come to the door at his leisure, instead of her meeting him with a curious stare, raised eyebrow and a spear (or something similar) resting on her shoulder.
