She wanted to know both of those worlds intimately, the co-existence of the night life and the day life. No stranger to mingling, she had ventured out into both sets of pre-determined hours in effort to get a feel for the lifeblood of the community. It would be inconsiderate not to recognize equally those on each side of the clock because the town as a whole functioned non-stop and leaving out the nocturnal creatures was wining only half of the battle. She coudn’t afford to charm only half, she needed both to execute her plan.
A handshake as was formal for this age, and her hands settled on the slim of her waist at the point where her hips curved. “You believe what you’d like.” She was a small town girl at heart, her village no longer stood. Small things were just as valuable as large things and working with less proved often more powerful as people tended to underestimate.
With her sister running the helm of this community, so to speak, Xiaofan knew this would be a patient game. Cat and mouse some called it. “Well it is more organized now which says more about the person tending to it than you might realize.” Sure everything could use work but it seemed as if the shop had come a long way already in the decades this one had been its proprietor.
