In the time he'd known her, Drew had become used to Jaime's filterless state. Actually, he found it refreshing. He'd been around for a long time-- although not anywhere near as long as he would be if he didn't meet with some sort of accident-- and he tended to like people who spoke their minds and didn't hide things. Too bad his ex hadn't been more like that; he might not be a vampire right now. Anyway, no point in dwelling on it more than he already did.
"Just killin' time," he said. "Got off from work not long ago. You want some company?"
Sometimes people might not be in a mood for company, and he didn't like to force his on others if they didn't want it. If she didn't, he'd wander on along.
