If the sound of one's Apparition were affected by how angry a person was, Percy's arrival at St. Mungo's would have been accompanied by a sonic boom. He'd done his best to hold in his anger in front of Penny, but the myriad of colors he'd turned (and the color changing wasn't limited to his bruising eye) had probably been telling. She'd done well after the black smoke had cleared, fixing his glasses with a Reparo Charm and tending to his bruised eye, but Percy was still furious, and his lips had been pressed together so tightly that they were barely visible. Bruise paste hadn't worked, and neither had the few Healing charms he and Penny knew. Also, his eye hurt.
Knowing that he couldn't very well go to work the next day with a black (then red, then orange, then yellow...) eye, it left him with only one option: St. Mungo's.
Fred and George were extremely lucky they weren't around; he'd have shouted their heads off and jinxed them besides. The thing that made Percy most angry was that he knew better than to open the present. The twins wouldn't have sent him anything kind, or useful - he was no fool - but the fact that they'd given him a virtual sock to the eye, well, that stung. Literally and figuratively.
With a grimace, he checked in with the Welcome Witch, who directed him to a small room and told him a Healer would be with him shortly. He certainly hoped it would be shortly. The looks he was getting embarrassed him. Balancing his glasses on the end of his nose so that the frames didn't rub against his bruised cheekbone, he sighed and looked around the office. He sincerely disliked St. Mungo's, and always had.
