Looking around her front room, Melinda hoped it would be big enough to fit people. She'd heard from a few people who were interested in coming, and that meant there were probably more who hadn't said anything who were planning on it, just for the free beer.

There were snacks on the table by the window, another table of drinks (which she really hoped would be replenished as people began showing up or it would be a truly pathetic party), and seating around the edge.

The wireless was on its stand, tuned to the WWN, which had promised an evening of dance music. Hopefully they meant popular and not Celestina Warbeck (Merlin hex her if it was a Warbeck night).

All in all, things looked perfect. Now, people just had to show up.

Alicia took another breath and then another and then turned so her lips brushed his throat. His hands were warm on her skin, making her body come alive practically, and she could feel herself pressing into him.

"We don't talk about it. It just happens."

She pulled back enough to look at him, "What happens between us stays between us." Why she said that she didn't know, but for some reason it seemed really important."

He had eyes with a hint of warmth and mischief in them, so different from Selwyn's and while she told herself it was foolish, because, hello, it was Pucey, she felt safe with him.

"Yes, I'll go."

Mmm. A small moan escaped his lips when he felt hers against his throat, and why was it this girl who he had despised for years could set his skin on fire?

"Fine by me. Whatever happens happens, and we're the only ones who know about it." He wouldn't mind his friends not knowing he was shagging a Gryffindor, and a serious White Hat at that. Besides, sneaking around was, in his experience, always fun.

"C'mon, let's get out of here. Mel won't even notice," he said, stepping back and taking her hand to tug her into a dark corner nearby. "Trust me to Side-along you?"
