Looking around her front room, Melinda hoped it would be big enough to fit people. She'd heard from a few people who were interested in coming, and that meant there were probably more who hadn't said anything who were planning on it, just for the free beer.

There were snacks on the table by the window, another table of drinks (which she really hoped would be replenished as people began showing up or it would be a truly pathetic party), and seating around the edge.

The wireless was on its stand, tuned to the WWN, which had promised an evening of dance music. Hopefully they meant popular and not Celestina Warbeck (Merlin hex her if it was a Warbeck night).

All in all, things looked perfect. Now, people just had to show up.

	Melinda wrinkled her nose. "Ugh. I had to deal with one of them recently - or maybe I dealt with one of each? I've gone in two times. Fair bet I got the same one, though I can't be certain," she said, shaking her head. "Hmmm, you did. That'll be a point in your favor, but I don't think that'll help the other two," she warned. Adrian rolled his eyes, scowling a tiny bit at the mention of the Weasley twins. They were, in essence, some of his least favorite people in the entire world. "Yeah. Let's talk about more pleasant things, shall we?"

"Eh, Ver likes amaretto. I don't remember if Janelle does or not." He grinned. "Quidditch is great. We won our last match, which was awesome." Then his eyes caught a flash of platinum blonde across the room and he smirked.

"Ver's here."

"Fine by me - and nobody's getting my amaretto but me. Unless they bring me something better," she amended, giving Adrian a little grin.

"Congratulations on the match. I should come to a game sometime. Though I'll have to bring someone who pays attention to it so they can tell me what everything means when the referee does that thing with his arms and says that you've blotched someone or whatever."

Looking over, she grinned and waved a bit. She envied Verity's hair. It was gorgeous. She was gorgeous and had gorgeous clothes - the entire package.

Next party she'd only invite boys.

He grinned. "You should come. But yeah, definitely with someone who knows what they're doing. Otherwise you'll be utterly confused...although you could just spend the entire time ogling me. That would be suitably entertaining, I'm sure."

He waved at Verity too, rolling his eyes when she bounced and stuck her tongue out at him. Sometimes he wondered why he kept her around, she was such a goof; but then again, she understood him. And she put up with Natalia, which few people could do.
