quibble I need two males for a detailed, non romantic line. They would be her brothers.
First of all, names can be changed.
The family is pureblooded and supportive of the Death Eaters. The younger brother, Amos, is a squib. This was pretty much a massive disappointment to Bertram, their father, and an embarrassment to Marigold, their mother. After having one too many drinks one night, Bertram let it slip that Amos was a squib to the wrong people, and the Death Eaters were going to target him for two reasons. One, because their regime is one that does not tolerate squibs/muggleborns etc. Two, because they saw it as doing a favor for Bertram and Marigold. Waverly, my character, was horrified at the whole ordeal. She did not like that her parents were so callous with Amos, and she grew outraged when she realized that Amos pretty much had a death sentence on his head. She suspects that her parents not only knew that the Death Eaters were going to kill him, but were in support/going to allow it to happen. Waverly took Amos to a halfway house (the Rosiers, premades in the community) for safety. She is furious with her older brother, Archer, who stood aside and didn't do anything. Archer is still aligned with his family and the Death Eaters. Waverly has broken away from the family and is now a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
So...lots of family rifts and all that. Like I said, names can be changed. As for Archer, if someone is really interested in the line but didn't want to have him be a 'bad guy,' we could maybe talk about having both him and Waverly getting Amos out.
