I'm looking for an AU line where I can play someone like Nikki Sixx or Vince Neil circa 1985 or so. I'd prefer het but if it's something interesting enough to me I could try slash. If anyone's interested you can comment the screened post in my journal. Also, if the AU thing isn't appealing to you then a current times line would work out as well.

It all started when she was 18. Her first sip of alcohol was a glorious one and she enjoyed that high ever since. She embraced the feeling but it hadn't yet taken over her life. She married a CEO if a multi million dollar company, had a few kids and became what she'd wanted her whole life - a kindergarden teacher. She'd always enjoyed children and watching them was almost refreshing. They were young, naive and to them the world was simple. It was wonderful. Having her own kids brought her to be the type of the mother everyone wanted - very accepting of their varying interests, comfortable with the topic of sex, very open about everything. She was someone they could trust and look up to. Someone they weren't afraid to approach when they screwed up. She was very forgiving. Sometimes she'd be disappointed but her soft spoken nature hardly ever allowed her to yell.
Up until 3 years ago. It was as if someone new had taken over and she became reserved, more to herself. She took care of the children but it became more of a chore and with her increasing dependancy on alcohol, her husband stayed away at the office more. It in turn led her to drink more and on went the vicious cycle. It was a cycle of self destruction and most days she'd want nothing more than to stay in bed and drink. It brought her to the point where she would be drunk at work, yell at the children for small things and hit her husband. She dragged everyone down with her; right to her rock bottom. It was on this day she hit her eldest daughter. It's something she can never really forgive herself for but she tries.
She's back from rehab now since December and though things are far from perfect, the relationships between herself and her family have mended somewhat. There's a lot she doesn't know - such as the affair between her husband and her sister. She doesn't know how badly he wanted to escape. Her good days are more common now but the bad days are still dominant.
We're looking for friends/co-workers/family from either side. We're mature, active and friendly and would expect you to be the same. Currently we are only accepting members that have some ties to The Darcy Family. Keep in mind that you can have your own issues and your own story. Your feelings may be however you see fit.
