Alex was part of the welcoming committee, so going to meet Dandy seemed like the right thing to do. She definitely didn't envy people who were just showing up here. It was so disorienting at first, frustrating, but it got better. She was more or less used to things here now, even if they were a bit crazy. People had doubles and even more, some people just shared a face. Fairy tales were real. It was a good thing Alex was so adaptable. She just hoped Dandy was too. She didn't understand this place, and supposed she never would. It didn't make sense. And she wanted to figure things out, but she didn't even know where to start. Helping new people here, at least it kept her busy. And she liked helping people. It's what Nikita would have done. Alex kind of wished that she was here with her now. But she was doing alright on her own. She was trying, anyway. She made her way to Granny's a bit before six. She wanted to arrive early and make sure it was safe. Old habits and all that. She found a table where she could watch most anything going on in there. She was hoping that Dandy would recognize her, but if he didn't, she was sure she'd be able to spot him. She already made sure she had all of the exits memorized in case something went wrong. She always did that, things were safer that way. When he walked into the diner, she recognized him. She waved, hoping he would see her and come to the table. "Hello Dandy, I'm Alex." She said. If the wave hadn't worked, hopefully that would. |
