Maybe Next Time
Stacey's mother and stepfather were out, so Stacey invited Austin over to hang out. Just like every other time he went over Stacey's house, he sincerely hoped King wasn't there. There was just no telling what the guy was going to say or do.

He rang the bell and waited for Stacey to answer the door.

"Coming right up." Austin smiled at Stacey as he stood up. He was still disappointed, but he would get over it. He went down to the kitchen, clad only in jeans. He left his shirt in Stacey's room, but he didn't think he would run into King anyway. Besides, he could hear the TV blaring in his room, so he was probably occupied.

The first thing he saw in the kitchen was King's backside. The rest of him was in the fridge.

"You would what?" Austin challenged, clenching his hands into fists. The shower? King? The guy was such a tool! He couldn't be telling the truth...could he? No. Impossible.

Realizing that Stacey would probably be pissed if he got into a fight in the kitchen with her stepbrother, Austin relaxed his hands and picked up the glass of water. "Stay away from her," he said through gritted teeth.

	Austin could hear King saying something, but he ignored him as he went into Stacey's room. He gave her a weak smile as he handed her the glass of water. "I ran into King downstairs," he told her, not sure if he should tell her what King revealed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Stacey had dressed while Austin went downstairs, finding it weird just sitting there half naked. She took the drink from Austin with a smile of thanks, but rolled her eyes at the mention of her step brother.

"Sorry, I should have known it was feeding time at the zoo," she told him, taking a drink of water and offering it to Austin.

"Did he behave?" she asked, a little unsure she wanted to hear the answer. After all, Austin was wearing no shirt, and she could imagine what King had said.

Austin lowered himself onto the armchair across from Stacey's bed. He still didn't know whether he should bring up the shower thing or not. He didn't want to sound like a jealous boyfriend, because he wasn't. It was just that it was King and she had just turned Austin down.

Shrugging nonchalantly, Austin fixed his eyes at a point above Stacey's head. "He only mentioned something about showering with you..." Embarrassed, he let his voice trail off. It sounded really stupid when he said it out loud.

Stacey's eyes widened and she let out a strange noise.

"I'll kill him," she muttered, starting to move off the bed, but stopping. That didn't look good probably.

"That never happened," she assured Austin.

"It was-" This was humilating. Stacey hadn't told anyone about this, "King doesn't know how to knock," she told Austin, after taking a deep breath, "and he walked in on me a couple of times, until we both learnt to lock the door."

	"Okay," Stacey said, glad Austin didn't seem upset about King. She'd have to give her brother a bit of a talking to about what not to say to her boyfriend, not that'd he'd probably even listen. But she planned on doing anything she could to keep Austin happy. (Reply to this) (Parent)
