tonight's insomnia-driven intro presented to you by... me. i'm jen, for those of you i don't know, and you can find me either at quicken the heart on aim or ~heyjude. greetings!
i'm kicking things off with two characters:
tyche! though mortals might know her better as lydia keyes. she's the goddess of prosperity, success, and good fortune, and a daughter of hermes! she's also notoriously fickle, loves risk-takers and thrill-seekers of all kinds, and can often be insufferably easygoing. but who wouldn't be, with luck eternally on their side?
on the more grounded side of things, we have daphne! currently a young mortal woman known as edie charles, she's a would-be journalist (and erstwhile personal assistant). she is not exactly fond of the entire pantheon situation, and that 'tude might not improve when she eventually discovers that her mother was not actually impregnated by her father, but actually daphne's river-god daddy peneas. whoops. you can find her at adorns. unless, of course, you're apollo or eros, in which case, gtfo she is not pleased with you. :/

hey hey brainiacs, it's maddie, come again. this time i come bearing lethe, the personification of forgetfulness and one of the rivers that runs through the underworld.

omg omg omg tl;dr- her name is laura, she works at hearth and home, she has horrible short term memory (anything under a year) and drinking water she serves you will make you forget something. she seems aloof and unemotional when she simply has a tendency to under emote. |

Hello! My name is Ellery, if you don't know me, HI!
This is Leto, Titaness mother of Apollo and Artemis and modest mother extraordinaire. After giving birth, Leto sort of retired to Mt. Olympus and lived happily in the sidelines of the world. With the onset of monotheism she ventured off the Mt. and discovered a world filled with orphans and unfortunate children. She has spent all of her time since travelling the world trying to help and care for them the best she could. She only came to the US in the early 1960s, and has lived on the islands of NYC mostly since then.
Now she is living as Teresa Motherwell, a name which she unwisely picked herself and she has since been informed it's a little funny. She works for a charity for the education of disadvantaged children called For Children For Tomorrow (4C4T) for which she ended up becoming the main fund raiser, and is in charge of holding lavish parties and convincing wealthy people to donate money. For the children, of course.
