[He goes out today to get breakfast at a diner and as he eats, he reads the newspaper. An elderly couple's been eaten. That's not right... he reads through to find out if they have any details, but the names aren't there. It mentions that their orphaned granddaughter's been placed in an orphanage with no next of kin. Time to make a visit. He puts the money for his meal down on the table and drinks the coffee in one shot, folding the shortstack of pancakes like a taco with the bacon in the middle. He finishes it by the time he hits the car and hauls ass to the home where he dropped off the little purple people-eater the other day only to find that his suspicions were correct. She snapped. He goes to the orphanage and catches the girl just as she's opening her mouth-like hands at one of the other local kids, and tackles her. The kids go running inside as he wrestles the impossibly strong girl whose teeth are still bared on either hand, finally having to shoot her in the head.
Dean killed a kid today. It weighs down on him like a ton of bricks, but she was a monster. And he let his judgement get clouded last time, he let her go because she was little and cute and because she didn't want to hurt people. But a thing can only fight it's nature for so long. His negligence killed her grandparents and nearly killed that innocent local boy. That's on him. Just like what happens with Sam is on him.
When he gets to Sam's new place with Emma, he knocks on the door. He wanted Sam to live a normal life, that's what he should have gotten, but his father's words ring in his ear. Sammy's not normal, it's in his blood, whatever it is. And if he can't watch him, he can't control it, and if he can't control it... he'll end up having to do something he's not sure he's be able to do.]
