Oliver hadn't been feeling his best for a few weeks now. He actually wasn't even sure if he was going to go to the dance originally, but Sara was apparently wanting to go and she had asked him to go as friends. That being the case, he was going to try and make sure that they had a good night; after all, he probably shouldn't focus too much on Emily turning him down. That would only depress him further, and he didn't think it would be the best idea to find himself in Mickey's room every time he got to feeling like that. Granted, that was an incredible night, but he still wasn't completely sure he should have done that. He wouldn't want to forget it or anything, for as before mentioned, it was an incredible night. He just didn't think that was the right way for him to handle the crap he was going through at the moment.
He found himself at Duke's a little after lunch, so most of the rush had died down. He found a table, sat down in one of the chairs and leaned back, letting the front two legs lift off the ground half an inch. For once he wasn't paying any mind to the attention he was receiving from a few of the other teens in the diner. No playful flirting, not even a smile or a wave. He simply stared at the ceiling only looking over to check the door for the blonde werefox. The closer the dance got, the stranger he felt. He also felt kind of like an idiot for even asking her. He tried to just let it slide, but for whatever reason it had just gotten to bother him so much.
He kind of wanted to talk about it, but the person he would normally talk about stuff like that to was the person that he was confused about, so instead, he decided he would just try and focus on making the dance enjoyable for Sara. She was always so sweet, and they had a good time together when they had to go on that date with Emily and that guy. She deserved to have a good night, and him trying to make that happen would probably distract him enough to allow him to not think about what his problem was.
The chime on the door rang, stirring him from his reflections as he looked up to see who had just come in.
