Teddy's eyes lit up when Caleb appeared in the doorway and the guy signed at him. He grinned and nodded enthusiastically, his own hands lifting to sign [Hi] back. He glanced at the door, which was still open, and signed slowly, [Close the door, please.] he waited for a moment to see if Caleb knew what that meant before he sort of indicated with his head to shut the door.
He scratched behind his ears, feeling oddly naked without his hearing aids in, but also free in a way because he preferred the silence of his own mind. The world was way noisy and Teddy didn't often like it. Though, he still loved listening to his family's voices, hearing them talk. And watching movies was so much easier when he could hear.
He noticed the fact that Caleb had wet hair and wondered what he'd been doing before coming over. Had he been swimming? Or had he just showered? Teddy glanced around his room quickly hoping that it was clean enough to not have Caleb judging him. He had study stuff out on his desk but other than that the room was pretty clean, for a teenager.
Biting his lower lip, he sat down on the bed and indicated that Caleb could either join him or use the desk chair. On the sheets beside him he had a notepad and pen, just in case.
[How are you?] he signed, remembering that Caleb said he knew the basics, the question accompanied by a curious tilt of his head.
