Adrian danced, feeling a growing communion with the school's woods, something he hadn't felt in this way before. His awareness of the physical world dimmed for a while. He willed himself to get caught up in this, to connect with whatever energy this was he had stumbled upon. He wove a path through the trees as if he'd done so a hundred times before even though he'd never been this way before. He wasn't aware of how much time had passed, wasn't aware of much at all until he heard the voice.
Awareness returned to Adrian suddenly, as if waking from a trance. His eyes searched and to used on the source, a guy sitting on a log, looking up at him. He'd heard the words, taking a second to process them before realizing he should probably know him, but couldn't recall why or where at the moment.
"Yeah. You probably do." He looked at him more critically as he slowed his beating wings until he floated down to let his bare feet rest on the grass. "I can't remember why. I'm Adrian."
