"That's debatable," Brendan said, sauntering along the street with a smooth confidence. Nick was mostly wiry muscle and not that heavy, so Brendan could easily carry him to the end of the street. While Brendan was no match for a vampire or a were on full moon, he could his own as a human being.
When he turned the corner, however, he realized there were people. And that they were attracting stares. With some strictly unnecessary tickling, Brendan put Nick down. "Okay, so, are we going to the beach or back to the school? I mean, I've got a towel in my bag, no trunks but..."
