What she hoped would happen? Felicity had been running through worst case scenarios more than best case because she never knew how to read her father, but she had a good idea of how he might react. She wouldn't speak of Charlotte because the family didn't speak of her. She didn't exist. But as Felicity ran through each possible outcome, she had to look to her sister's crimes against elven kind for an example. She had to remind herself what her fate might be. She would be cut off from everyone she knew and loved.
"Galadari and I would marry, the child would be considered legitimate, I wouldn't have to leave school, and I could raise the child myself instead of a nurse," Felicity said, ticking through each of the items that would satisfy her. Felicity didn't have to raise the child herself but she wanted to. If not her, maybe Galad's parents but not her own. She didn't want her child to have her upbringing, even if it made her stronger, she might not have been this way had she not had her sister.
"That would be the best case," she said, "Though all of that is in question. Even if Galadari is the father and we are promised to one another, we broke the rules and didn't wait until marriage to consummate our relationship."
