Ms. Pearl was a bit of a whirlwind. A woman very different from the sort of women that Felicity grew up around. Not only because she was a djinn but she was just so full of . . . warmth. She was so lively and animated, and yes, other elven women could be that way at times but Ms. Pearl radiated another sort of energy. She was one of the few teachers in the school that Felicity felt actually deserved some semblance of respect. Those teachers were numbered few, and she avoided Therese for that very reason. The theatre teacher was a joke to the institution.
When the door opened, Felicity could smell the fish and chips and then the strong scent of curry. Her stomach growled, telling her it wanted to eat and it wanted to eat right then and there. Josephine momentarily halted Felicity from being able to eat by observing her, and left the elven maid a bit flustered by her words. Stunning? Felicity did take the time to make herself look presentable, but she hardly thought that pregnancy had anything to do with it. Famished? Most certainly.
Felicity wasn't able to say much or anything before Ms. Pearl was serving her tea. "Yes, thank you," she said and seated herself, reaching for the tea as Ms. Pearl went to assure her of the privacy that the room provided.
"Thank you," she repeated the phrase and took a drink of the tea before her eyes fell to the food. The aroma was nearly impossible to turn away, and she was so terribly hungry. "That's comforting to know after what happened with The Oracle."
