Thread: Let's Party
WHO: Galadari Rubinhart AND all students - BYOT
WHEN: Sept. 29th, Evening
WHERE: Into The Woods
All in all, it was a fairly simple affair. Either most of the students didn't believe Galad when he said he'd make their desires into realities or they didn't have very creative desires. A few came through with some interesting ideas and those were seen to with great attention to detail. Maybe next time they would take an elven Baron at his word.
The main hub of the party was centered around a tall fire that burned different colors thanks to a witch friend's party trick. It pulsed all the shades of the rainbow and threw flickering shadows for fifty yards. Music from Domino's playlist was centered there and the fire seemed to keep time. Further off to one side of the bonfire was an area surrounded by hanging lanterns that Fen had put up, leading students to an area straight out of a fun house. Zero gravity proved a bit challenging to maintain, but witch palms greased with elven gratuity saw that the spectacle was kept up, and kept safe.
A zero gravity chip eating contest was slated to start any minute, and bets were being placed on who would come out winner.
Aside from chips, there was a small assortment of foods. It wasn't a feast, by any means, but Galad had tried to anticipate various needs of his guests. He had meat for Wendy, raw and cooked. He had fresh fruit, baked muffins, munchy snacks like chocolate squares and gummy worms. It wasn't meant to be a healthy meal, but it would sustain a pack of hungry supernaturals through the night.
A variety of drinks were plentiful, including vodka for Pavel. Galadari even gave him his own bottle of Stoli Elit as a birthday gift - to be consumed later with his crush, Galad had instructed with a wink. There was a decorative mermaid fountain sculpture that poured red wine down herself and into a bowl at the bottom of her fin. Members of the sculpting class had artfully created the piece just in time for the party. Galad had raised his glass quietly to Eli. Another desire fulfilled.
In addition to alcohol and non-alcohol for the non-partakers, one of the campus's known potheads was supplying some of his best cannabis. Each party attendee was given only one token to cash in their free sample, but anything more would cost them. Galad didn't allow harder drugs to be distributed.
The party didn't need drugs or booze to make people feel relaxed and let their inhibitions down, however. Once a second elf arrived at the party, the air would crackle with energy. Everyone but the most stoic person would at least be smiling before the night ended. Elven magic was a gift.
Galad had recruited some of his favorite members of the dance class to perform. It wasn't exactly a strip tease, but it wasn't exactly not, either. Galad wanted to ensure Liam's desires were fulfilled. One of the dancers, an actual Polynesian fire dancer, performed a spectacle with lit torches and a lot of impressive feats. So Galad had given Eli two of her listed desires. He wasn't playing favorites, exactly.
Through it all, Galad kept an eye out for his brother. He wouldn't put it past Gil to attempt something on a night like this. Odin knows, the younger twin hated being shown up, and Galad had done just that.
The party cleared out sometime around 3 or 4 in the morning. Students wandered back to the dorm rooms to sleep it off and Galad's paid sober ushers made sure everyone made it back safely.
