Thread: Going Full Kumiho
WHO: Jae Song, Jojo Pearl, and Blake Hartley
WHEN: Feb. 7, evening (tonight!)
WHERE: Dungeons
Jae sat quietly in her cell. She typically dressed nice, but she'd changed into a pair of sweat pants and t-shirt before coming down there. Dr. Hallowfen said the dungeons and Jae felt it was the best place. Less chance of her friends showing up at her dorm room and asking why they couldn't come in. Dr. Hallowfen asked her what she wanted to tell others about why she was missing classes. Jae didn't know what to say. She tried to come up with reasons, but knew that Vixey and Kana would probably be more persistent about finding out what was wrong and seeing her. Vixey especially. She told Dr. Hallowfen to tell anyone who inquired that she wasn't feeling well. It was a flimsy excuse and Jae knew it but she had nothing else to offer. But she did feel a little better that she had come up with it. Now she was alone with her thoughts and fears. No, not alone. There were two teachers there. Ms. Pearl and Mr. Hartley. Both of whom she didn't know all that well. Ms. Pearl seemed especially nice and friendly. The sort of person that exhibited personality traits many people wanted in a parent or grandparent. She radiated warmth and enthusiasm. Mr. Hartley, on the other hand, was firmer and more resolute. He was rough around the edges, and he was also a former hunter. Immediately, Jae felt guarded. It didn't help that Mr. Hartley was also very . . . human. "Thank you for the water, Ms. Pearl," Jae said, taking the water bottle into both hands but not drinking from it. The silence here was deafening, which was strange considering how often Jae enjoyed the quiet. |
