Bayani just wanted this to be over. He stopped by to see Victoria before coming to the cafeteria like he agreed, and he found a seat that was in plain sight of others but out of the way enough no one would attempt to talk to him. Not that people on average did, unless they already knew him. His semi-permanent frown and glowering dark eyes normally put people off, couldn't imagine why. He wasn't like most teenagers who would be playing on their phone or talking with others. His open dislike of social media and technology led to him rarely checking it. At the moment he was flipping through an Algebra book. He'd wanted it to be in the library since he was studying, so he simply took the same books over there. He wasn't much of a studious person in a general way, but he didn't want to fail out either. Passing would be fine by him. If he had to be at this school, he might as well put the minimal effort into his education. His shaggy dark hair was rarely brushed, his all black clothing was cheap and well worn, and having a job or a girlfriend didn't really change his general disregard for appearances and fashion. Victoria could look incredible enough for the both of them. He knew that James was a potential threat, and his need to stamp out threats was tampered by his desire to keep his nose out of other people's business. He'd gotten in the middle of a dispute with Leon, Andrei and James. He didn't regret it, since clearly James was doing something wrong, and Leon was a friend. But if Leon and Victoria were right to leave the vampire be and not be on his radar, he didn't see much of a reason to argue. So if this meet up would just get over with, maybe they could both go back to not dealing with each other. Bay had enough shit to deal with, although his anger was very, very easy to set off, like a powder keg ready to blow permanently. He didn't look for the vampire coming in. Bay was there first so he kept reading and making notes on a pad of paper, keeping himself busy. |
