Dana knew that Leon showed patience with her a lot of the time. Her thousands of questions and requests, and she expected him to suggest that he should take that snack of blood or something that would kindly move them out of this very intimate position. Instead he was sort of moving over words, starting a sentence and then not finishing it before going into it. What was going to come out wrong? Blue eyes stared up at him with curiosity, trying to understand. He was with Mickey but not being around him . . . and then came an apology. An apology she answered with the truth.
"I always want to kiss you," she admitted freely, "You already know that I dream about you. I don't want to upset Mickey." Apparently Mickey, or Leon, or the both of them, weren't in the sort of relationship that allowed Leon to share a bed with Dana, even if it wasn't the same as when they shared a bed. She studied Leon's face carefully, trying to figure out how Mickey not being around may be different than if he were. Dana believed she understood what he was saying, but she knew she'd have to ask Leon if she was right.
She reached and took his hand from his hair, bringing his fingers to her lips and kissing the tips of them before pressing her lips to his again with the question, "When he is not here, this is okay?"
