Autumn: Lilie and Mickey
People did stare a lot. Once upon a time, Lilie was one of those that stared at him wide-eyed. Then they ended up friends and she found she preferred it that way. Some people sort of created fantasies about others, and she'd done a little bit of that with Mickey. She sort of preferred to know him as the sensitive and flawed boy with the fiery temper than the sex god that a lot of students needed cold showers to stop thinking about.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world," Lilie said to his party, "Are you throwing this one or are we going to throw that for you?" She didn't mind doing that either, because Mickey had been one of her good friends. She just wished she'd been the sort of friend they had become over the last few months.
Lilie's smiled beamed into the camera. They were picture-perfect in a lot of ways, but pictures could sometimes be deceiving. Thankfully the smiles for this picture were genuine and there was no need to wonder if the picture said more than what could be seen on the surface.
"I can only imagine," she said after the picture was taken and then pointed to the cameraman with a finger telling him she wanted another, "Goofy face this time because why not?" She stuck her tongue out and made her eyes look bigger, then fanned her hands out on either side of her face.
